Chronicles of Narnia Unit Study Guides

My family LOVES the Chronicles of Narnia. And it seems that we always have! I came from a family where my dad read these books aloud to us nightly- and I am now in a family where we read these books together as well! (My kids are only 4 and 6!)

If your family loves this series as much, or even if you are just diving into it now- you are who I made these book guides for!

Please see below for some common questions, and their answers!

How do I use this book guide?

Our vision is that you use this book guide to aid in your reading. You can plan ahead and make the recipes you are reading about- or plan a unit study on the mythical creatures or nature in the books!

Where do I find the Narnia Cookbook?

You may be able to find the Narnia Cookbook at your library, buy it online- or search for the recipes on google!

How do I setup a lesson with this guide?

We recommend setting a day each week (our day is Wednesday), where you choose a recipe or two, and something to learn about the book you are reading.

To set up a lesson, we pull out the guide, make the recipe, get some freebies or curriculum that we already have- and invite your kids to learn about the topics in the book!

(It’s also great to listen to these as Audiobooks and cook while you listen!)

Is it a full curriculum?

It is not considered a full curriculum. But here are some resources that you could add in for free that would make it a fuller curriculum.

Free Narnia Copywork- Sparrow and Lilies

Free Narnia Unit Study Resources- Lasting Thumbprints

The Magician’s Nephew, Cursive Copywork- Home Grown Learners

Do I have to follow it exactly?

No! This guide is a framework, an outline, for your studies with your kids!!

Please tag us on Instagram at @loveathomeed if you use it, so that we can see how it fits into your family!

What does it mean to have nature and recipe extensions?

These are extras from the books so that you can learn alongside the readings. For example- learning about mythical creatures, plants and flowers native to Narnia, and the types of food they eat!
