The Day in the Life of a Small Business Owning Homeschool Mom!

Hey friend! You asked for a blog post on the subject too, so here it is. 🙂

Psssst: Check out the FULL YouTube video here!!

You can see the full day in the life in that video, but honestly? My day changes every day!! Here is the basic block schedule we go by.

Morning

Between 5 and 7 Mom wakes up. I bedshare with my toddler, so it’s a matter of whether he lets me get up or not!

If I wake early, I will read, and do some small business activities such as checking emails, uploading new products, or finalizing videos.

My kids (15 months, 6 years and 8 years) all wake between 6:30 and 7:30; and then we tidy up and have breakfast. Usually either my 8 year or I make the breakfast, depending on her mood and want to help!

After breakfast is basic chores, listening to music, dancing, and waiting for dad to call us on his break!!

Around 9/9:30 we have structured schooling. More on this in another post!

That lasts about an hour or less, and then we run errands (library, store) OR head outside if the weather is nice.

Noontime

My toddler has a nap around 11:30, and this is when we have quiet time!

The older kids listen to their Yoto players for the first half, and then get to watch a show.

During this time, I get more work done!

Once the toddler wakes up, we all have a snack or meal (depending on if we ate lunch beforehand) and then clean up whatever we need to clean up!

If the weather is nice, we will head outside or to the park, or run more errands if need be.

Otherwise, we stay in, play games or independent activities, and have free time!

If all of the kids are happy enough, I will do my Insta Club Hub Training (https://instaclubhub.prupel.com/?ref=37329)

Evening time

When dad gets home, we will all do our chores; and then relax until dinnertime unless we need to go somewhere.

Dinner is between 5 and 5:30 and the kids are always invited to help cook!

After dinner, is more free time, or the kids’ time with their dad. They like to do art projects, or watch art videos.

7 o clock is when we start to wind down for bed. Ellie reads the Berenstain Bears Devotional, while Will reads the little prayer (See that here: https://amzn.to/3teWuFV)

Then I will read a chapter or so of whatever book we are reading. Right now, it’s The Illustrated Harry Potter! (https://amzn.to/3UCGNUE)

The older kids head down to their rooms, and listen to their Yoto players while I put the toddler to bed.

I come down, tuck them in, turn out the lights- and watch tv with my husband!
